It is always lovely to see what you are getting up to at home and some of you have already been busy thinking about Easter, well done! You are really impressing us with the creative ways that you are approaching the tasks. There's a little bit of music here too! A wonderful Easter powerpoint was made by Lottie, she used animations and transitions brilliantly to share the Easter story! ![]()

Wow, Kingfisher Class you have certainly impressed us! A massive well done for the time and effort that you put into your maps, all of them are so creative and we can tell that you have worked hard on them. Well done!
You may have already seen this and maybe some of you are already taking part but if you haven't then you may be interested. Lots of local communities have began window art, so that passers by can look out for these things on their walks or journeys to work, almost like a window hunt. Some people do a picture, others paint the windows (ASK YOUR PARENTS FIRST), there have been collages and even object representations. Anyway we thought it was a nice thing to do to make people smile, no pressure to take part. Mrs Frampton has been doing this with her family and will try to remember to upload their efforts here for you to see, we can't wait to see yours! Last day at Mill on the Brue and it was a muddy one. The badgers and otters were mostly together all day to do a race on the assault course (we got very muddy, some children had to get hosed down!) We then did colony games together where the children had to build shelters, a fire and we cooked hot chocolate and marshmallows over the the fire. They spilt into groups again to do the leap of faith and of course the zip wire! I’m pleased to say every child and of course every teacher did the zip wire. We came back together to do the ultimate egg drop where the children had to build a protective casing for a egg to drop off the balcony.
We are all very tired and looking forward to coming home tomorrow although we have had the best time! It’s been amazing to see the children’s teamwork skills shine this week! We will see you all tomorrow! Miss Andow & Miss Green Let’s make it easier!
Badgers group - Liam, Carter, George, Quinn, Jack, Freddie, Eva, Amelia, Halle, Lacey, Harley and Aidan. Otters group - Zachary, Jude, George, Kodi, Ethan, Phoebe, Lottie, Bella, Sophia, Izzy, Weronika and Ava. Today’s activities for the Badgers consisted of spider’s web, where the children had to get themselves through a web without touched the ropes and not going through the same space twice. They had great fun canoeing! Archery and crate stack. They took on blind fury in a problem solving task and identifying objects while blindfolded. Today’s activities for the Otters consisted of crate stack, low ropes, challenge track - a problem solving activity. Canoeing and they took on the beast in enough problem solving activity. we came together for our quiz night hosted by Miss Andow and Miss Green where the children had a range of rounds ranging from Disney, films, Pictionary and play dough Pictionary. The children really enjoyed their chocolate cake today! We had some very messy faces! Great fun today! Looking forward to zip wire tomorrow! Another fun filled day for us. The otters and badgers have tried their hand at riffle shooting. They got very muddy in the assault course. They took on the beast in a communication challenge and wall climbing. They made pizza in a clay oven. Followed by an evening camp fire.
The otters have also had a fun filled day with spiders web where they had to try different ways off getting through the web without touching the ropes. Tried their skills at archery and took on blind fury where they were blindfolded and had to guess the objects they were holding.
More pictures on Twitter. We have arrived safely and have got stuck right in! Badgers group started our day with challenge track where they had to put their problem solving skills to the test. Next low rope, a series of elements that had to help each other over with an added challenge of making it around the track with a cup of water. Night line took our sight sense away where the children were blindfolded and they had to use their communication skills to navigate a course. We finished our day with a talent show!
This term in Computing, we have been using the laptops to make podcasts and jingles about space! Here are some pictures of us making our podcasts. You can listen to our podcasts by clicking on this link: drive.google.com/open?id=1UqQLg9uTu2TAcGV3CG02apRadlTDcENR |
