Did anyone have a go at this over half-term? If you did send us photos (if you took some) or share what happened in the comments below! This is an example of a canopic jar that Liam made and Jude with a very dried up and soft apple!

For Mental Health Awareness Week we will be posting a quote each day all about kindness. They are all by Charlie Mackesy.
For our last favourites of the term we are going to share our favourite places. Can we get the most blog comments of the term on today's post?
My favourite is the beach; I love the sea, to see it, hear it and be in it! One of my favourite beaches in this country is Widemouth Bay, I have lots of special memories there. What is your favourite place? As today is a Bank Holiday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day, as a school we have set a Whole School Challenge all linked to the numbers 7 and 5. Please complete as many challenges as you wish and try to get your whole family involved. I have also attached a VE day timetable that has been circulating with some ideas on. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to email photos and comment on here with what you have been getting up to! This week's special mentions can be downloaded below.
Lottie has been busy making a catapult and thought that some of you might enjoy it too so sent the instructions over. How kind of her! Let us know in the comments if you do make one and feel free to email a photograph.
This week we are sharing some of our favourite poems in Kingfisher class. Are there any poems that you like too? Maybe there is a new poem for you to discover.
Kingfisher Weekend Thoughts taken from 'The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse' by Charlie Mackesy3/5/2020 There is a new page on the school website with lots of lovely ideas about how to continue reading at home. This page will be updated regularly with new ideas that we come across so remember to keep popping back and having a look at what's new. You could always let us know what you are doing to keep reading at home and we might even use some of your ideas on there! It also includes a timetable of activities that are being offered by authors and illustrators each day.
