Here is one group of Robins reminding everyone how to brush their teeth correctly.
All the adults in the Robin Class would like to say well done to the Robins for their hard work and mature attitude during the phonics screening test this week. Although it was a difficult challenge, the children managed to complete it all with a smile on their faces. Enjoy your weekend everyone.
This week has included a lot of collaboration. We have jointly worked on a quest story, read our books with Year 5 children and started to explain the journey of our planet around the sun in groups. Great teamwork everyone!
This week the children worked on our allotment and planted out our peas and beans in the hope of a good harvest this year. We have kept a diary of our beanstalks growth and recorded their height using rulers. Some of the children are hoping for a golden egg laying hen or a singing harp when the beanstalks get bigger!
Here the children showed the heffalump following the trail of honey and getting stuck in the trap.
Today the children tasted some honey. They really enjoyed the taste and could see why Pooh is so keen on honey. We were all a little worried about the honey seeking heffalumps so we decided to design and build some heffalump traps.
As part of book week, the children have been learning all about the personalities of the characters from the A. A Milne books 'Winnie The Pooh'. It was lots of fun working in groups to learn about the characters and deciding what character is most like the children's own personality.
