In Spanish we have been learning all about Spanish food. We decided to create a Spanish restaurant role-play where we ordered our favourite food and drink! We hope you enjoy our videos.
We spent the morning working in groups to create a survival plan for the whole class to live on a desert island for a year. We decided on 10 items to take as well as: island rules, jobs, rewards, punishments and leadership. After lunch, we presented our island survival plans to the rest of the class.
On Tuesday, a team of student ambassadors came from UWE to work with us for the afternoon. They spoke to us about their university courses: geography, criminology and biomedical science.
First, we worked together in groups to talk about our talents. Then we thought about jobs in the local community and what skills you would need for these jobs, we found that we already have a lot of these skills!
Next, we thought about our dream job and which of our skills and qualities we would tell an interviewer about in order to get this job. Finally, we thought about 5 expectations we have of ourselves in the next year and also 5 things we expect our school to do to help us.
We also went on www.careerpilot.org.uk to look at loads of different jobs and what qualifications we would need to get there! Here are some photos from the afternoon:
Welcome back year 5, I hope you all had a lovely time at camp and we can't wait to hear all about it.
