When intergalactic Wag Worms are born they look just like a cube. Each year they grow another cube in any direction (except on their faces, of course). Flamingo Class investigated what shapes a three-year old and a four-year old Worm would look like. We had lots of fun and there was lots of healthy competition going on. (This problem came from nrich.maths.org)
We had some unifix to make 2 and 3 year olds and we then put sticky eyes on them. Then we had a competition about who had the most and it was the biggest table because we had over 110.
