Which surface would the car move further on? How would we measure how much force was required to move the car? Why did the car move less on some surfaces than others?
We set up our own experiment to try and answer some of these questions in the first lesson of our new topic: Forces and Magnets. Most children decided to measure how far we had to pull back elastic bands with a ruler to measure the pull force and to measure how far the car moved when pushed with a balloon.
