This week in Literacy we have been studying performance poetry.
We have learnt a poem called Walking with my iguana (by Brian Moses). Because the poem is a performance poem, it is not meant to be read from a page; it is intended to be real aloud, with rhythm, expression and passion.
Over the next week we will be perfecting our performance techniques, by improving our rhythm, clarity of speech and confidence. We will also be creating our own set of poems (inspired by Brian Moses).
Stay tuned for some examples!
